The banner showcasing the life of Siddaramaiah in the form of a film reel has been created by a supporter from Saundatti, identified as Anand Chopra. The banner was printed in Surat and brought to Davangere on Tuesday. A cultural program is also arranged to mark the celebrations with a laser show. As many as 400 food stalls will be serving Bisi Bele Bath, Veg Pulao, Curd Rice, and Mysore Pak for the expected 5 lakh participants in the celebration on Wednesday afternoon. A music album created to mark Siddaramaiah’s 75th birthday has songs saying he is 75 like India, which celebrates its 75th anniversary of independence this August 15. Davangere is also considered an auspicious site to begin campaigns since the Congress in the past has won state elections when the poll bugle has been sounded from this region. Missing from the attendance list at the event are veteran Congress leaders K H Muniyappa and S R Patil who are opposed to Siddaramaiah’s dominance in the Congress.

As per the latest announcement of the BMRCL, the trains will run at a frequency of 15 minutes' interval between the same timings from August 8. I also share in the pain of the family. Party workers and supporters from all corners of the state are expected to attend this mega event. “I was shocked to hear the news that Prakash Badigere of Mudola taluk who was coming to Davangere for my birthday function died in a road accident. The Chief Minister made this statement on Friday in Delhi during the demonstration by Congress against the Central government over price rise and unemployment. With the help of police, the organisers managed to clear the jam and make way for Rahul Gandhi's convoy. Though party workers and authorities tried to create a freeway for the former Congress president's convoy, due to heavy movement of people and vehicles, he was caught in the traffic jam. The stretch is also witnessing traffic jams up to 6 kilometers in the surrounding areas of Davanagere.

“Of course I like Siddaramaiah Ji. I also share his views, I share his compassion for the poor and the weak. Many BJP leaders had stated that the Congress party would be finished after Siddaramaiah’s birthday celebration. Shivakumar took the lead to present Siddaramaiah a special silk shawl and also gave him a hug.

A spokesman of the Haryana Police said when the police team asked them to surrender, the accused started firing at the team. The Crime Investigation Agency of the Panipat police has arrested a man for demanding ₹20 lakh extortion posing himself as a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He said the current BJP government is harmful to the harmony of Karnataka. “While the Congress government united the people and created harmony in the state, the BJP is dividing people and spreading hatred in this beautiful state. They also say that the state was in complete harmony when Congress was in power in Karnataka. They also say that harmony and peace are very important to do business in the state. The Haryana Police cracked a double murder case that took place at Hisar's Hansi on August 4 with the arrest of five persons. I also appreciate how he ran the government of Karnataka when he was CM and he gave direction to the people of Karnataka. He had a vision for.

On the economic situation in the state, he said when he stepped down as chief minister, the state had a debt of Rs 2.42 lakh crore, but it has increased now to Rs 5.40 lakh crore. “You have given compensation only to the Nettaru family, but why not to the relatives of the other two,” he asked. Shivakumar too said that they are united, and added that Siddaramaiah is a leader of all sections and should not be portrayed only as a backward class leader.

"He belongs to all communities," he said. The challenge before us is that there's a corrupt and communal government that must be removed. "In the 2023 election, we'll have Siddaramaiah and the most dynamic PCC president DK Shivakumar...you can't see such a galaxy of leaders in any other party. "Shivakumar has done tremendous work for the Congress' organisation," Rahul said. “I’m here because I share a special relationship with Siddaramaiah. "Congress is completely united to defeat RSS-BJP in Karnataka," former AICC president Rahul Gandhi declared, but not before showering praises on both Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar, who is also in the chief ministerial race should the party win next year.

I also appreciate the way Siddaramaiah ran the last government of Karnataka. It gave a direction to the people of Karnataka and it believed in the idea of fairness for everybody. Demonetisation was transfer of money from the poor people of the country to the hands of a few rich. But only Siddaramaiah and I cannot bring the party to power in Karnataka unless the partyworkers reach out to people of all communities and throw out the BJP government. Ask the small businessmen they would tell you both demonetisation and GST are a national disaster, and designed to handover the wealth to people close to the PM. If UPA gave Rs 72,000 crore to farmers as farm loan waiver, the Modi government brought in farm laws to loot the farmers and transfer wealth to the rich. “It was the Congress party that realised the leadership quality of Siddaramaiah. If good people are in a bad party there will be no future for them or the country. But I also share his views, his compassion for the poor and the weak. “I have come here as I share a special relationship with Siddaramaiah. Of course, I like the person Siddaramaiah ji. During Siddaramaiah’s tenure as CM, we were all the ministers and our Congress government has given a host of pro-people programmes. But the crowd response to Siddaramaiah all through the event and the subtle hints during the speeches of both leaders were a give away of the quiet power tussle between the veterans. The future is in your hands and you must bring the party to power,” said Shivakumar, adding that the sole intention of the partyworkers and leaders should be to bring the party to power. He also expressed his admiration for Siddaramaiah, the person as well as the “way” he had run the government between 2013 and 2018, with a slew of popular welfare schemes. In the same spirit, he acknowledged Shivakumar’s “tremendous” work for the Congress party.

On “Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas” slogan of Mr. Modi, he said why the same yardsticks were not applied when giving compensation for murder victims. “Why did Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai give compensation only to Praveen’s family, and why not to Masood or Fazil?” he asked, referring to the communal killings in coastal Karnataka. “Is Mr. Bommai the Chief Minister for only one community?” he asked. Earlier, KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar showered praises on Mr. Siddaramaiah and said that several pro-people measures were taken under the Congress rule by Mr. Siddaramaiah. He termed the birthday of Mr. Siddaramaiah as “celebration of all of us.”
