एविएशन इंडस्ट्री में एयरलाइंस को आम तौर पर तीन कैटेगरी में बांटा जाता है। नेटवर्क एयरलाइंस, लो कॉस्ट कैरियर और अल्ट्रा लो कॉस्ट कैरियर। लो-कॉस्ट कैरियर को बजट एयरलाइंस भी कहा जाता है। ये एयरलाइंस ट्रेडिशनल फुल सर्विस एयरलाइंस की तुलना में कम किराया और कम सुविधाएं प्रदान करती हैं। लो कॉस्ट एयरलाइन में इकोनॉमी, प्रीमियम इकोनॉमी, बिजनेस और फर्स्ट क्लास के डिवीजन के बजाय अक्सर सर्विस की केवल एक क्लास होती है। अकासा की मुंबई-अहमदाबाद फ्लाट का 22 अगस्त का प्राइस 2673 रुपए हैं। इसी तारीख में गो फर्स्ट की फ्लाइट की कीमत 2674 रुपए और विस्तारा के फ्लाइट की कीमत 3,003, इंडिगो की 4,263, एयर इंडिया की 4,263 रुपए है। वहीं अकासा की बेंगलुरु से कोच्चि का 22 अगस्त का किराया 1916 रुपए है। इंडिगो भी 1914 रुपए में टिकट ऑफर कर रही है। एयरलाइन बेंगलुरु से कोच्चि के लिए सुबह 07:15 बजे और 11:00 बजे रोजाना ऑपरेट होगी। इसका टिकट 1916 रुपए से शुरू हैं। कोच्चि से वापसी की उड़ानें सुबह 09:05 बजे और दोपहर 01:10 बजे ऑपरेट होगी। इसके टिकट की कीमत 2481 रुपए से शुरू होती है।

फिलहाल अकासा एयर दो 737 मैक्स विमानों के साथ परिचालन की शुरुआत कर रही है.
