It appears so as the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has called for an emergent Apex Council Meeting on Tuesday (August 23) to discuss the matter of election.

The continuation of both Ganguly and Shah will depend on the Supreme Court verdict on the matter. As previously reported, the BCCI, with Sourav Ganguly as president and Jay Shah as secretary, has requested the apex court to hear their plea over the abolition of the cooling-off clause. Has the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) advised the state associations not to conduct their elections till the Supreme Court pronounces its verdict on the cooling off clauses?
