(फाइल फोटोः DRDO/Indian Navy) इस घातक मिसाइल के हमला करने की रेंज 500 मीटर से लेकर 12 किलोमीटर तक होती है. आमतौर पर इसमें ब्लास्ट फ्रैगमेंटेशन (Blast Fragmentation) वॉरहेड लगाया जाता है. बराक-1 (Barak-1) सरफेस-टू-एयर-मिसाइल 6.9 फीट लंबी होती है. यह अधिकतम 5.5 किलोमीटर की ऊंचाई तक जा सकती है. यह मिसाइल करीब 12.6 फीट लंबी है. यह मिसाइल 154 किलोग्राम वजनी है. यह मैक 4.5 यानी 5556.6 किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटा की रफ्तार से उड़ती है. यह अधिकतम 12 किलोमीटर की ऊंचाई तक जा सकती है. डीआरडीओ ने इस बात का खुलासा तो नहीं किया है कि यह मिसाइल कौन से वॉरशिप से दागी गई है. इस मिसाइल का नाम है वर्टिकल लॉन्च-शॉर्ट रेंज सरफेस टू एयर मिसाइल (VL-SRSAM). इसकी गति इतनी ज्यादा है कि यह दुश्मन के राडार के पकड़ में नहीं आती.
