ప్రధాని మోడీ ప్రభుత్వంలో జైట్లీ ఆర్థిక మంత్రిగా జీఎస్టీ, నోట్ల రద్దు వంటి నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకున్నారు. నేడు అర్జున్ జైట్లీ మూడవ వర్ధంతి. జైట్లీ దేశ క్రియాశీల రాజకీయాల్లో భాగమయ్యారు. ఆయన ఆర్థిక మంత్రిగా ఉన్న సమయంలోనే జీఎస్టీని దేశంలో ప్రవేశపెట్టారు. ఆయన మరణానికి కొన్ని నెలల ముందు వరకు రాజకీయాల్లో పూర్తిగా క్రియాశీలకంగా ఉన్నారు. ये ही वजह थी कि दोनों ने ही अरुण जेटली को मध्यप्रदेश में बीजेपी के प्रचार के लिए भेजा था. अरुण जेटली का जब निधन हुआ था, तब कैलाश विजयवर्गीय ने कहा था कि, 'मैं विद्यार्थी परिषद के समय से उन्हें देखता आ रहा हूं, 1974 में जब वो दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय परिषद के अध्यक्ष थे तब हमने उन्हें मध्यप्रदेश के विद्यार्थी पारिषद सम्मेलन में बुलाया था. राजनीतिक जानकारों की माने तो अरुण जेटली की रणनीति औऱ उमा भारती के दम पर बीजेपी सरकार बनाने में कामयाब हुई थी. बता दें कि अरुण जेटली चुनाव के एक साल पहले यानी 2002 में ही सक्रिय हो गए थे, इसके अलावा वो 3 महीनों तक एमपी में रहकर ही बीजेपी के लिए प्रचार कर रहे थे. वैसे तो अरुण जेटली की राजनैतिक सक्रीयता पूरे देश में रही, लेकिन मध्यप्रदेश की राजनीति से उनका खास नाता रहा. आज देश के पूर्व वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली की तीसरी पुण्यतिथि है.

जम्मू-कश्मीर के प्रति विशेष लगाव रखने वाली भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता अरुण जेटली प्रदेश में हुए हर आंदोलन में शामिल हुए। उन्होंने जम्मू कश्मीर में राष्ट्रवाद को बढ़ावा देने के लिए लाल चौक में तिरंगा लहराने के लिए एकता यात्रा, डोडा बचाओ आंदोलन व वर्ष 2008 के बाबा अमरनाथ भूमि आंदोलन में हिस्सा लिया था। इसके साथ हर संसदीय, विधानसभा चुनाव में उनकी सक्रिय भूमिका रही। पार्टी मुख्यालय में बुधवार दोपहर को आयोजित कार्यक्रम में पुराने दिनों को याद कर पूर्व प्रदेश अध्यक्ष सत शर्मा, शमशेर सिंह मन्हास, अशोक खजूरिया व अन्य कई वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने अरुण जेटली को श्रद्धांजलि दी। अरुण जेटली ने जम्मू कश्मीर में भाजपा का सर्वसुविधा संपन्न पार्टी मुख्यालय व जिला कार्यालय बनाने के अभियान को भी प्रोत्साहन दिया था। उन्होंने नए मुख्यालय बनाने के लिए प्रेरणा के साथ आर्थिक सहयोग भी दिया था।प्रदेश भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने जम्मू शहर के त्रिकुटानगर स्थित पार्टी मुख्यालय के साथ जिला मुख्यालयों में भी कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन कर अरुण जेटली की तस्वीर पर फूल-मालाएं अर्पित की। जम्मू, राज्य ब्यूरो। प्रदेश भारतीय जनता पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने जम्मू कश्मीर में पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री अरुण जेटली के साथ बिताए पुराने दिनों काे याद कर बुधवार को उनकी तीसरी पुण्यतिथि पर श्रद्घासुमन अर्पित किए।अरुण जेटली को श्रद्धांजलि देने के कार्यक्रमों में जम्मू-कश्मीर में राष्ट्रीय एकता व अखंडता को मजबूत बनाने में उनके याेगदान के साथ प्रदेश में हुए आंदोलनों में उनकी भूमिका को याद किया गया।
