This could be someone entirely new that we meet in season 3, but people that Charles would likely be protective of could include Mabel, Lucy or Joy. It wouldn’t be Only Murders in the Building without Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short leading the way as our favorite amateur sleuths/podcasters Mabel, Charles and Oliver. Only Murders in the Building season 2 was about proving who killed Bunny and stopping our main podcast team from being framed. There is also a good chance that Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s Detective Williams returns as she remains a key ally for the Only Murders podcast team. There was about an eight month gap between the end of Only Murders season 1 and season 2. After seeing his character die on stage, we seem set to learn more about Glenroy before his death and his relationship with the main trio. That is still TBD, but with the early announcement and the cliffhanger ending of season 2, the wheels are already very much in motion. Shortly after that, Oliver gets a call and is offered a directing job for a Broadway show that opens in a year.

She also compliments her for her investigative work on the podcast and suggests she should have her “own podcast”. Poppy brings up her painting idea and Mabel says Poppy was more interested in the story and Bunny’s painting than Cinda. Her entrance coincides with Charles saying “we have the murderer here..” So, is Alice the murderer and Cinda involved in the trio’s plan? Oliver starts the live stream and in walk Cinda and Poppy. “14 Savage” actually means “14 million for the Savage painting”. As the residents get antsy, the trio barges in with a camera, tripod, and some accessories to create a fantastic play. Lester, Howard, and his new partner, all show enthusiasm to participate in the manipulative scheme designed to get a confession from Cinda. Now, they need a plan to get a confession out of her and go to Poppy for help. The trio and Poppy meet at the Pickle Diner. The trio plans to catch her in the act before the finale of her podcast drops the next day and implicates them. Cinda takes both, the story and Poppy, and her podcast becomes a big hit.

The very ending of the episode is absolutely enthralling, and my appreciation remains high for the structure Only Murders in the Building has given to its two seasons so far. It became a truly surprising turn of events in the latter half of the episode, using classic methods in the mystery genre in a way that fits the environment and character strengths.

I remember we were shooting an episode — it was the hallway scene with Selena — and one of the crew members was hanging out with us, and he was like, “Selena, do you know who the killer is?” and he kind of looked at me because I knew that he knew that it was me. I don’t know if I had to sign an NDA, and I don’t think they had the crew sign an NDA. She was like, “No, I have no idea,” and everybody was winking at me and egging her on, but she had nothing. In Episode 4 when I’m the person in the suit, I’m not credited in that episode so that has to be a special negotiation. I wouldn’t want to [reveal them] under the rare chance that they happen to bring them to life. But that day on set I remember coming down [and] the whole crew was like, “Oh my God.” So they all knew at that point, but they didn’t tell the cast members so it felt like I had a little secret with the crew. Even just being in the suit in the passageways was horrifying to imagine. I was told I was going to be in Season 2. But it was really weird because I got to set and I realized that nobody else knew. I did not think I would be a bad guy, so it was a real surprise to have such an integral part in Season 2. I was excited because it seemed like they were setting [me] up to have something in Season 2. As I said before, being a woman in Hollywood I think it is important to lift each other up and be supportive of your fellow actors and know that we all rise together.Your character aka Becky Butler plays a big part in this series, especially when things take a surprise turn in episode 9. It is important to learn, but I don't think you have to sacrifice yourself for learning. I come from a theatre background, and I feel that in a theatre, there is this idea that you have to pay your dues by working for free or being an intern and not being treated very well. I am just sad that I probably won't be in it.
