Starring the likes of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Karthi in important roles, 'PS1' is set for release on September 30.

PS1 will be the first of a two-part film series. Kamal Haasan, who provides the voiceover in the trailer, and Rajinikanth were present at the trailer launch of the film in Chennai today. The magnum opus also features Ashwin Kakumanu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Rahman, Lal, Jayachitra, Riyaz Khan among others in pivotal roles.

The music and trailer launch event of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 in Chennai on Tuesday was a grand event with Rajinikanth as the chief guest.

Vikram is in the role of Aditya Karikalan, Karthi is Vanthiyathevan, Trisha is Kundavai, Ravi is Arunmozhi Varman and Sobhita Dhulipala is Vanathi in the film. The film stars Aishwarya Rai in dual roles --one of queen Nandini, the princess of Pazhuvoor, and the other of Mandakini Devi.
