While a few senior citizens shared stories of their grandparents and special memories associated with them, many others discussed their relationship with their grandchildren. In today’s scenario, not everyone spends time with their grandparents.

Grandparents Day at Sprouts Montessori - MYLAPORE TIMES (MYLAPORE TIMES)

On September 10, Sprouts Montessori school invited the grandparents of its Toddler and Primary classes children to celebrate Grandparents Day.

A few of the invitees spoke about the difference in the joys of being a parent and a grandparent. The school had arranged for some props where guests could take pictures of seniors and the children. The invitees enthusiastically participated in fun activities.

K M Dayashankar. It was all fun and frolic at the carnival and grandparents turned young by dancing to popular old numbers entertaining their grandchildren.

The grandparents were happy to be a part of the celebration and thanked the school authorities for organising a memorable event. Thanking them for their valuable time, presence and blessings, he said that every generation makes better friends with the grandparents because they are the greatest storytellers, the founders of love and keepers of traditions. The school also presented a memento of appreciation to each grandparent who participated in the function.
