चीता और तेंदुए के पंजों में भी अंतर होता है। चीते के पंजे तेज स्पीड से दौड़ने के हिसाब से होते हैं। चीते के पिछले पैर आगे की तुलना में बड़े और मजबूत होते हैं जिससे वे स्पीड से दौड़ सकें। चीते के पंजे सिकुड़ते नहीं हैं क्योंकि उनको दौड़ते समय तेजी से घूमना होता है। वहीं तेंदुए के आगे के पैर पीछे के मुकाबले बड़े होते हैं। इसकी वजह से वो शिकार को खींचकर आसानी से पेड़ पर ले जाते हैं। शिकार को पंजा मारते समय भी उनके बड़े पैर काम आते हैं। बता दें कि चीता और तेंदुए की खाल में भी अंतर होता है। जहां चीते की खाल हल्के पीले और ऑफ व्हाइट कलर की होती है। चीते की खाल पर गोल या अंडाकार काले धब्बे होते हैं। तो वहीं तेंदुए की खाल पीले रंग की होती है और तेंदुए की खाल पर धब्बों का आकार फिक्स नहीं होता है...इनकी खाल पर वृत्ताकर ऐसे धब्बे होते हैं, जिनके बीच में भी जगह होती है। चीते का वजन औसतन 72 किलोग्राम होता है। चीता अधिकतम 120 किमी प्रति घंटे के हिसाब से दौड़ सकते हैं। वहीं, तेंदुए बड़ी बिल्लियों में सबसे छोटे होते हैं, हालांकि ये चीतों की तुलना में अधिक भारी और मजबूत होते हैं। तेंदुए का वजन 100 किलोग्राम तक होता है।
