वह ऐसी फिल्म नहीं बना रहे, जिसे सिर्फ मधुर भंडारकर बना सकता है. दो दृश्यों के बीच के ट्रांजीशन में गांव की एक ही जैसी ‘सीनरी’ का इस्तेमाल कल्पनाशीलता के अभाव को बताता है. मधुर ने नब्बे के दशक वाले अंदाज में कहानी लिखी है. वह ऐसी फिल्म लिख और बना रहे हैं, जिसे कोई भी लेखक-निर्देशक बना सकता है. ऐसी फिल्म मधुर के अलावा कोई और भी बना सकता है. बबली बाउंसर मधुर भंडारकर की फिल्म है, देख कर भी यह विश्वास नहीं होता.

It isn't one of those films that we go back home with, and ponder over the journey of the protagonist. Imagine the potential of having Pinky finding a job and living a life of independence, or Viraj being the subject of an infatuation, or even the conflict that could stem out of the protagonist's polar opposite parents. She not only manages to pull off the Haryanvi accent, but convinces us of that she has the physicality of a female bouncer. Indeed meeting Viraj was an agenda to move to Delhi, but it is not very often that we see a woman pursue the man of her dreams. The film follows Babli (Tamannaah), who hails from the neighbouring villages of Asola and Fatehpur Beri on the outskirts of Delhi. While Babli Bouncer doesn't enter the dark territories of its predecessors and exudes innate charm even when facing multiple hurdles, the film doesn't really do justice to the idea at the centre of it.
