मंगलवार को सुनवाई का प्रसारण वेबकास्ट के जरिये हुआ। सोमवार को वकील विराग गुप्ता द्वारा सुनवाई का यूट्यूब के जरिये प्रसारण होने पर कापीराइट का मुद्दा उठाया गया था। गुप्ता ने कोर्ट के 2018 के फैसले का हवाला देते हुए कहा था कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट कापीराइट सरेंडर नहीं कर सकता। उनकी दलील पर प्रधान न्यायाधीश यूयू ललित की पीठ ने कहा कि जल्दी ही शीर्ष अदालत का अपना प्लेटफार्म होगा। दूसरी संविधान पीठ कोर्ट नंबर दो में बैठी थी। इसकी अध्यक्षता जस्टिस डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ कर रहे थे। इस पीठ ने शुरुआत अधिकारियों की ट्रांसफर-पो¨स्टग का मुकदमा 'दिल्ली बनाम भारत सरकार' से की। कोर्ट ने इस मुकदमे पर नौ नवंबर से नियमित सुनवाई करने का फैसला किया है। इसी संविधान पीठ ने शिवसेना पर दावे को लेकर उद्धव ठाकरे गुट और एकनाथ शिंदे गुट के बीच विवाद की सुनवाई की। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने एक बयान जारी कर इसे एक ऐतिहासिक दिन बताया और कहा कि आठ लाख से ज्यादा लोगों ने सीधा प्रसारण देखा। कोर्ट नंबर एक में बैठी संविधान पीठ की अध्यक्षता प्रधान न्यायाधीश यूयू ललित ने की। इस पीठ ने ईडब्ल्यूएस आरक्षण पर सुनवाई की। बहस पूरी होने के बाद कोर्ट ने अपना फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया।

On Monday, a bench headed by Chief Justice UU Lalit said the top court will soon have its own "platform" to live-stream its proceedings instead of having to use YouTube. Justice Chandrachud, who was also one of the authors of the 2018 verdict along with now-retired Justice AM Khanwilkar and then Chief Justice Dipak Misra had on July 31 while speaking at a valedictory ceremony of the first All India District Legal Service Authorities said that judicial institution has to give up resistance to adopting modern means of communication to reach out to the masses and earn the respect of the community at large, or else it will "lose the game". He was of the view that judges and judiciary have to "shed their fear", whether it is about using platforms like Twitter and Telegram, which are now widely prevalent, or the live streaming of proceedings. On August 26, for the first time since its inception, the Supreme Court live-streamed proceedings of a bench headed by then Chief Justice (since retired) "This is a humble beginning and the attempts will now be made to live stream proceedings in all important matters before live streaming of all the proceedings becomes the order of the day," the top court said. Proceedings of three constitution benches including a bench headed by Chief Justice of India UU Lalit, which heard and reserved its verdict on a batch of pleas challenging the validity of the 103rd Constitution amendment providing 10 per cent reservation to economically weaker sections (EWS) persons in admissions and government jobs. It said that the decision to live-stream the proceedings of the Constitution benches was taken by the full court on September 20, 2022, and soon thereafter trial runs were undertaken by the registry. "The technical support teams ensured that the live streaming was without any obstruction or difficulty and was completely seamless", the press statement said, adding that this step will go a long way in overcoming barriers of distance and provide to citizens from every nook and corner of the country opportunity to watch the Supreme Court proceedings.
