In comparison, the benchmark index was down 3 per cent, and 4 per cent, respectively, during the same period. That said, TCS has underperformed the market in the recent past, with the stock down 5 per cent in the past three months, as against 6 per cent rally in the S&P BSE Sensex.

Commenting on TCS Q2FY23 Results, Samir Seksaria, Chief Financial Officer, said: “We are steadily making our way towards achieving our operating margin priority for the year, aided by leverage from good growth, the flattening of the workforce pyramid, steadily improving productivity and currency support. We believe our quarterly annualized attrition has peaked in Q2 and should see it taper down from this point, while compensation expectations of experienced professionals moderate.” The Tata Group company said its total revenue from services grew at a much faster pace of 18 per cent to touch Rs 54,309 crore in the period under review. TCS Q2 results: TCS said the revenue from operations grew by 18.01 percent YoY to Rs 55309 crore compared to Rs 46867 crore in the same quarter last year.

Market-wise, North America led with 17.6 percent growth; Continental Europe grew 14.1 percent and the UK grew 14.8 percent. The last twelve-month attrition rate was 21.5 percent. Net cash from operations came in at Rs 10,675 crore or 102.3 percent of net income, the company said. The company said its operating margin came in at 24 percent, contracting 1.6 percent YoY. “Demand for our services continues to be very strong,” said Rajesh Gopinathan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, TCS. Sequentially, revenue grew 4.83 percent.

TCS had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 9478 crore in the June 2022 quarter.

The company’s revenue during April-June 2022 rose 18 per cent to Rs 55,309 crore, compared with Rs 46,867 crore in the year-ago period. The attrition rate in the March quarter was 17.4 per cent. Manufacturing as well as life sciences & healthcare verticals grew 14.5 per cent, while BFSI jumped 13.1 per cent. Its revenue witnessed a 4.83 per cent rise quarter-on-quarter from Rs 52,758 crore, according to a BSE filing. We registered strong, profitable growth across all our industry verticals and in all our major markets. TCS on Monday also declared its second interim dividend. As clients prepare for a more challenging environment ahead, technologies like cloud that have been embraced now have to be fully leveraged to realize the promised value. Segment-wise, TCS’ growth during the September 2022 quarter was led by retail and CPG, which grew 22.9 per cent; followed by communications & media (18.7 per cent), and technology & services (15.9 per cent). Tata Consultancy Services’ attrition rate in IT services stood at 21.5 per cent during the September 2022 quarter, which is higher than the 19.7 per cent registered in the previous quarter. वहीं इस वित्त वर्ष की पहली तिमाही में रेवेन्यू 52,758 करोड़ रुपये रहा था. वहीं आज का कारोबार खत्म होने पर टीसीएस का शेयर 2 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ 3,121 रुपये पर बंद हुआ है. 2022-23 की दूसरी तिमाही में टीसीएस का मुनाफा 10,431 करोड़ रुपये रहा है जबकि 2021-22 की दूसरी तिमाही में कंपनी का मुनाफा 9624 करोड़ रुपये रहा था. टीसीएस ने बताया कि उसके पास 616171 लोगों का वर्कफोर्स जिसमें दूसरी तिमाही के दौरान 9840 नए लोगों की हायरिंग की गई है. जबकि बीते वर्ष की इसी तिमाही रेवेन्यू 46,867 करोड़ रुपये रहा था. वहीं मौजूदा वित्त वर्ष की पहली तिमाही में रहे मुनाफे 9478 करोड़ रुपये से 10 फीसदी ज्यादा है.
