रोजर बिन्नी बीसीसीआई के नए बॉस होंगे और वह सौरव गांगुली की जगह लेंगे. सौरव गांगुली की जगह लेने जा रहे रोजर बिन्नी किसी परिचय के मोहताज नहीं हैं. बता दें कि सौरव गांगुली और बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी के बीच भी रिश्ते अच्छे रहे हैं. ऐसे में सवाल उठना लाजिमी है कि आखिर क्या हुआ कि गांगुली को बीसीसीआई से आउट किया जा रहा है. टीएमसी सांसद शांतनु सेन ने आरोप लगाया कि सौरव गांगुली को पश्चिम बंगाल का होने की वजह से या फिर बीजेपी में शामिल होने का प्रस्ताव ठुकराने की वजह से हटाया जा रहा है. टीएमसी सांसद शांतनु सेन ने बांग्ला कार्ड खेलते हुए आरोप लगाया है कि बीजेपी ज्वाइन ना करने की वजह से गांगुली की बीसीसीआई से छुट्टी हो रही है.

पीटीआई की रिपोर्ट में ये भी दावा किया गया था कि गांगुली को आईपीएल चैयरमैन बनने का ऑफर दिया गया था, लेकिन उन्होंने उस ऑफर को नकार दिया था. बृजेश पटेल ने 2019 में इस पद को संभाला था. बता दें कि बीसीसीआई के इस अध्यक्ष पद के लिए अभी तक सिर्फ एक ही नामांकन दाखिल किया गया है, जो पूर्व भारतीय खिलाड़ी रोजर बिन्नी ने किया है. क्रिकबज की एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, जब रोजर बिन्नी ने अध्यक्ष पद के लिए नामांकन दाखिल किया तो उस वक़्त सौरव गांगुली काफी उदास थे. रोजर बिन्नी के अकेले नामांकन दाखिल करने से साफ हो रहा है कि वो बिना किसी चुनाव के ही बीसीसीआई के नए अध्यक्ष बन सकते हैं. बता दें कि बीसीसीआई के अध्यक्ष और बाकी सारे रिक्त पदों के लिए 11 और 12 अक्टूबर को नामांकन दाखिल किया जाना था.
