भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम को टी20 का पहला विश्वकप जिताने वाली टीम का हिस्सा रहे रॉबिन उथप्पा ने भी 2022 में क्रिकेट के सभी फॉर्मेट से संन्यास लेने की घोषणा कर दी। रॉबिन अंडर-19 वर्ल्डकप जीतने वाली टीम के भी हिस्से रहे हैं और और उन्होंने कुल 46 वनडे मैच और 13 टी20 मैच खेले। इसके अलावा आईपीएल में मुंबई इंडियंस, चेन्नई सुपरकिंग्स, कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स, रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बेंगलुरू, पुणे वारियर्स और राजस्थान रॉयल्स की टीम से भी खेले। उनके साथ ही साथी खिलाड़ी सुरेश रैना ने भी क्रिकेट से संन्यास का ऐलान कर दिया। सितंबर में ही दोनों खिलाड़ियों ने क्रिकेट के सभी फॉर्मेट से संन्यास ले लिया। भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट टीम की कप्तान मिताली राज के 23 साल के क्रिकेट करियर का अंत भी 2022 में हुआ। न्यूजीलैंड में खेले गए महिला विश्वकप के बाद मिताली राज ने संन्यास का ऐलान कर दिया। हालांकि मिताली ने बैटिंग और कप्तानी में कई ऐसे कीर्तिमान स्थापित किए हैं जिसे आने वाले कुछ वर्षों में तोड़ पाना बेहद मुश्किल है। मिताली के संन्यास लेने के कुछ दिन बाद ही उनकी साथी खिलाड़ी झूलन गोस्वामी ने भी क्रिकेट करियर का अंत कर दिया। क्रिकेट का मक्का कहे जाने वाले लार्ड्स के मैदान में झूलन गोस्वामी को शानदार विदाई दी गई। साल 2022 स्पोर्ट्स के लिए इवेंटफुल रहा क्योंकि एक तरफ जहां बड़े टूर्नामेंट हुए, वहीं अगल-अलग खेलों की दुनिया के कुछ नामचीन सितारों ने संन्यास की भी घोषणा की। इनमें टेनिस के सर्वकालिक महान खिलाड़ी रोजर फेडरर से लेकर भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट की स्टार प्लेयर मिताली राज और झूलन गोस्वामी तक का नाम शामिल है। सुरेश रैना ने भी इसी साल रिटायरमेंट का ऐलान किया तो फार्मूला वन रेसर सबेस्टियन वेटल भी रिटायर हो गए। आइए जानते हैं 2022 में किन खिलाड़ियों ने खेल से संन्यास ले लिया...
