A conversation between the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and a homeless man, that has since gone viral, has been called 'painful' and 'excruciating' to watch.

Here is Rishi Sunak asking a homeless man if he “works in business”. He asks the man if he would like to get into finance, to which the man says, “I wouldn’t mind. I am a homeless person, but I am interested in business.” Sunak then asks him if he has been in the soup kitchen before, and the man says yes. UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently faced a lot of backlash for his gaffe involving a homeless man in a soup kitchen, where he was volunteering. I don’t know but I would like to get through Christmas first.” He then says that he hopes St Mungo’s – a community housing association – can help him get into some temporary accommodation. Sunak asked the homeless person if he was in business and his plans for Christmas. Many Labour Party leaders condemned the Prime Minister for his ‘out of touch’ conversation. He then says, “It’s a great place, isn’t it?”, to which the man agrees.
