PM Modi's mother Heeraben Modi passed away at the age of 100 years. PM Modi will soon arrive in Ahmedabad to perform the last rites of her mother. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took on Twitter to express his grief over PM Narendra Modi and extended his condolences to the PM and his famly. Describing the priceless bond between the mother and a child, Vice president M Venkaiah Naidu extended his condolences to PM Modi on the sad demise of his mother Heeraben Modi's death. Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his sadness over the death of PM Modi'smother Heeraben Modi and tweeted, "It is very sad to know about the demise of the Prime Minister Narrendra Modi Ji respected Mataji Hira Ba. PM Narendra Modi reached Gandhinagar to perform the last rites of her mother Heeraben Modi who passed away at the age of 100 years today. Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his grief on passing away of PM Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben and said, "the news of the demise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, Mrs. Gujarat: Heeraben Modi, mother of PM Modi, laid to rest in Gandhinagar. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed his grief over sad demise of PM Narendra Modi and wrote, "Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Smt. My condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the passing away of his mother." Just after performing the last rites of his mother Heeraben Modi, PM Modi reached Raj Bhavan in Ahmedabad and flagged off the Vande Bharat train from Howrah railway station virtually which he was scheduled to inaugurate n West Bengal. PM Modi, who had reached Gandhinagar early this morning, consigned the mortal remains of his mother Heeraben Modi to fire along with his brothers.
