wrote Shelly Mari Heap, who claimed to be the mother of one of the cricketers. Little did they know, their photo will receive comments ranging from demands of their Instagram handles, advice to join beauty contests, and complaints about their hairstyles. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), on Wednesday, posted a photograph of the U19 women's team before their departure for the historic inaugural edition of the ICC Women's U19 World Cup in South Africa starting on January 14. In what world is it okay to SEXUALISE CHILDREN?" A photo of England women's U19 World Cup squad received comments ranging from demands of their Instagram handles, advice to join beauty contests, and complaints about their hairstyles. The bone-chilling fact is that it has got nothing to do with age as female athletes of all age-groups are viewed from the same prism by a section of people.

Why does India women's team not have a head coach yet? (Hindustan Times)

With just over a month to go for the T20 World Cup, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team seems likely to go into marquee event without a head coach. | Cricket.

Why the BCCI has failed to replicate a similar approach for the senior team is a question worth asking over and over again. In the last decade or so, the Indian women’s cricket team has struggled to find a stable and successful head coach. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led team, which is a week away from going on a tour of South Africa for a tri-series involving the hosts, India and the West Indies and in the middle of a preparatory camp at the NCA, literally has to figure things out on its own. So, the Indian team, despite being one of the favourites for the T20 World Cup, finds itself in the unenviable position of going into a big tournament without a head coach. Coaches from the same set were appointed to go with the team to South Africa with Nooshin-Al-Khadeer as head coach. And the Indian team finds itself without a head coach or a bowling coach.

Live Cricket Score: India vs Sri Lanka, 2nd T20I, Pune | Cricbuzz.com (Cricbuzz)

All the live updates from the second T20I between India and Sri Lanka at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.

The hosts, though not flawless in the last game, have a 1-0 lead but Sri Lanka will back themselves to succeed at a venue where they have tasted success before. Mendis brings up a 27-ball fifty with a six off Malik in the eighth over. The batter comes in for Sanju Samson as one of the two changes India have made (the other one being the inclusion of fit-again Arshdeep Singh). Sri Lanka are 83/2 in the 10th over. Sri Lanka are 96/3 in the 12th over. He also just about clears Gill in the deep, pulling a short delivery from Malik in front of square for a six. Shanaka sends the next ball over the fence and Arshdeep ends up overstepping a second time in the over. The Sri Lankan captain is key as the visitors look to capitalise on the last two overs. If not for a wild throw from the 'keeper to the bowler, Axar would have been back in the hut. Suryakumar scoops Madushanka for a six to register a 33-ball fifty But the partnership, worth 91, comes to an end as Suryakumar mistimes one to long-on. With a hat-trick of sixes off Hasaranga in the 14th over, Axar pulls down the required rate below 15. He also bags the wicket of Mavi and concedes only four runs to star in Sri Lanka's 16-run win that helps them level the series.

Persistent Sydney rain sees Usman Khawaja stranded on 195, and narrows Australia's victory path for a 3-0 series sweep over South Africa.

Due to the Sydney weather, the pre-match ceremony of Jane McGrath Day at the NRMA Insurance— Cricket Australia (@CricketAus) January is historically a wetter month in Sydney than November and December, but Cricket Australia officials have indicated moving the Test is not on the cards. The Sydney Test could fit that bill given the weather, with no Test after it for another month and Australia's twin-spin attack allowing for the majority of the workload to be shared by slower bowlers. Australia's bid to secure a series sweep over South Africa and a guaranteed spot in the World Test Championship final has been dealt a blow, with day three of third NRMA Insurance Test rained out. That had set the stage for Australia to bat big in the first innings and eye a potential follow-on scenario if they were able to roll through South Africa cheaply.
