The service gives Microsoft's cloud customers access to various OpenAI tools like the GPT-3.5 language system that ChatGPT is based on, as well as the Dall-E model for generating images from text prompts, the company said in a blog post.

Meanwhile, reports surfaced that Microsoft is planning to infuse $10 billion into OpenAI, which will value the company at nearly $29 billion. The company also said it will add OpenAI’s artificial intelligence bot ChatGPT to its cloud-based Azure service soon. “With Azure OpenAI Service now generally available, more businesses can apply for access to the most advanced AI models in the world -- including GPT-3.5, Codex, and DALL-E 2 -- backed by the trusted enterprise-grade capabilities and AI-optimised infrastructure of Microsoft Azure, to create cuttingedge applications,” Microsoft said in a blogpost.

Microsoft, on Monday, announced it will be making OpenAI’s ChatGPT available with its Azure OpenAI suite of services. Eric Boyd, Corporate Vice President, AI Platform at Microsoft in a blog shared that Azure OpenAI service is now generally available and will enable businesses to“apply for access to the most advanced AI models in the world—including GPT-3.5, Codex, and DALL•E 2—backed by the trusted enterprise-grade capabilities and AI-optimized infrastructure of Microsoft Azure, to create cutting-edge applications.” Azure is also the core computing power behind OpenAI API’s family of models for research advancement and developer productivity. According to an official announcement, enterprise customers who use Azure cloud services will be able to access ChatGPT through Azure OpenAI services and can apply for access to AI models including GPT-3.5, Codex, and DALL•E 2.
