Yasir sent in six crosses as he often drifted wide on the field to deliver some probing balls into the box. Tried his best to provide stability to the defence by making a few significant defensive contributions. Missed a good chance in the second half. Contributed a bit in defence. Did not look much effective in midfield. Did his best in the midfield. Should have done better in the case of Hyderabad’s second goal. A win is necessary for Hyderabad if it wishes to reduce the seven-points gap with the current leader Mumbai City FC. Hyderabad will hope to see more goals from its key striker Bartholomew Ogbeche, who is firing on all cylinders and has scored four goals in the last two games. With only one win at home so far, East Bengal will have to do something extraordinary to get the better of Hyderabad in its upcoming tie. East Bengal can take confidence from the way it took the fight to Hyderabad after a rocky start. Yasir loses the ball to O’Doherty, but shows the resilience to chase the ball back. The play spread to the left and Borja pings a sizzling cross into the back post and Siverio is there to head it in, leaving Kamaljit no chance. East Bengal growing frustrated as Hyderabad continues to exert control in the midfield. Borja once again finds Siverio with a long ball in the box and he knocks it down for Odei, whose half-volley is sliced high. At the other end, it is the other star forward’s chance to score. The Brazilian turned and swung, but to everyone’s surprise failed to hit the target. The East Bengal attacker is shown a yellow card for an elbow onto the defender’s chest. Well-worked corner from Hyderabad and it is Ogbeche with an outrageous overhead kick attempt, which fails to hit the target.
