'అమిగోస్'లో కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ మూడు రోల్స్ చేశారు. ఆ తర్వాత వాళ్ళను చంపాలని చూస్తారు. మూడు పాత్రల్లో కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ ఎలా చేశారు? సినిమా ఎలా ఉంది (Amigos Review )? బిపిన్ రాయ్ అలియాస్ మైఖేల్, మంజునాథ్ హెగ్డేలను సిద్ధార్థ్ కలుస్తాడు. అంతకు ముందు హైదరాబాదులో ఎన్ఐఏ అధికారిని బిపిన్ అలియాస్ మైఖేల్ చంపేస్తాడు.

మైఖేల్ పాత్రలో కల్యాణ్ రామ్ ఒదిగిపోయాడు. కల్యాణ్ రామ్ మూడు పాత్రల్లో వేరియేషన్స్ చూపించేందుకు ప్రయత్నించిన తీరు బాగుంది. ఇక సెకండాఫ్లో మైఖేల్ క్యారెక్టర్తో కల్యాణ్ రామ్ కొత్తగా ట్రై చేశాడనిపిస్తుంది. కథలో ఫ్రెష్ నెస్ లేకపోవడం, సన్నివేశాలు రొటీన్గా ఉన్నప్పటికీ కల్యాణ్ రామ్తో మంచి ఫెర్ఫార్మెన్స్ను రాబట్టుకొని ఒకే అనిపించేలా చేశాడు. సౌందర రాజన్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫి బాగుంది. రొమాంటిక్ సన్నివేశాల్లో కల్యాణ్ రామ్తో మంచి కెమిస్ట్రీని పండించింది. కానీ మైఖేల్ పాత్రలో బలం లేకపోవడం, పాత్రలో వేరియేషన్ లేకపోవడం వల్ల ఎంగేజ్మెంట్ మిస్ అయ్యామనే ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది. మైఖేల్ కుట్రలకు సిద్దూ ఎలా చెక్ చెప్పాడు? ఇక ఇషికాతో సిద్దూ లవ్ ట్రాక్ రెగ్యులర్ ఫార్మాట్లోనే సాగడంతో ఓ సాదాసీదా సినిమా చూస్తున్నామనే ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది. ఇక సిద్దూ స్థానంలోకి వచ్చి మైఖేల్ వారి ఇంట్లో తిష్టవేస్తాడు. మైఖేల్ చెరలో ఉన్న తన కాబోయే భార్య ఇషికాను ఎలా కాపాడుకొన్నాడు. మైఖేల్ ఎవరు?

The film’s narrative is middling throughout and the entire first half is boring with slow pacing. There aren’t any twists and turns and the movie becomes predictable after a point in time. The film actually had more scope but it wasn’t utilized to the full extent. The editing could have been far better and the entire first half needed some heavy corrections. A tense atmosphere is nicely created between the antagonist and the protagonist’s family. The makers didn’t compromise on the quality. As Kalyan Ram is playing a triple role, there is a good buzz around the film. It isn’t easy to play a triple role but Kalyan Ram has done the job effortlessly. Brahmaji ably supported Kalyan Ram and he evokes a few laughs. Scenes that come in this regard are well-knitted and fairly engaging. Soon the three meet and Siddharth takes the help of the other two to make Ishika (Ashika Ranganath) fall for him. Kalyan Ram has got a lion’s share of the screen time as he is seen almost in every frame of the film.

Kalyan Ram enacts three roles in this story of doppelgangers that never rises above tried and tested tropes.

However, the rest of the film doesn’t rise beyond its predictable tropes and the climax portion is a drag. The remix of Ilaiyaraaja’s ‘Enno ratrulosthayi gani’ also doesn’t help after a point. The story’s trajectory is predictable and we know that soon, the three men will look like photocopies and one of them will unleash their devious plans. In this story, the concept of doppelgangers is introduced through a random incident at a pub. Amigos introduces viewers to the idea of doppelgangers right from the title credits, by showing how one can search for lookalikes using an online database. That word can be applied to the premise of Amigos as well.

అందుకేనేమో కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ కూడా ఈ ట్రిపుల్ రోల్ కథ వినగానే గ్రీన్ సిగ్నల్ ఇచ్చేశాడు. అతనికి బెంగళూరు కు చెందిన మంజునాథ్ (కళ్యాణ్ రామ్), కోల్ కత్తాలో ఉండే మైఖేల్ (కళ్యాణ్ రామ్) టచ్ లోకి వస్తారు. రాజేంద్ర రెడ్డి దర్శకత్వం వహించిన ఈ మూవీలో కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ ఏకంగా మూడు పాత్రలను పోషించాడు. కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ బాబాయ్ బాలకృష్ణ ‘అధినాయకుడు’లో త్రిపాత్రాభినయంతో పాటు ఎన్నో హిట్ సినిమాల్లో ద్విపాత్రాభినయం చేశయగా… సిదార్థ్ (కళ్యాణ్ రామ్) హైదరాబాద్ లో ఫ్యామిలీ మెంబర్స్ తో జాలీగా ఉంటుంటాడు. అయితే అప్పటికే మైఖేల్ కోసం నేషనల్ ఇన్వెస్టిగేషన్ ఏజెన్సీ (ఎన్.ఐ.ఎ.) వెతుకుతూ ఉంటుంది. యాక్షన్ మూవీ లవర్స్ కు, నందమూరి ఫ్యాన్స్ మాత్రం సంతృప్తి చెందే అవకాశం ఉంది. ఇప్పుడు కళ్యాణ్ రామ్, మైత్రీ కలయికలో రూపుదిద్దుకుంది ‘అమిగోస్’. మైఖేల్ బదులు ఎన్.ఐ.ఎ. తన మావయ్య(బ్రహ్మాజీ)తో సరదాగా పబ్ లో గడుపుతున్న సమయంలో అతనికి డోపెల్ గ్యాంగర్ వెబ్ సైట్ గురించి తెలుస్తుంది. గత యేడాది ‘బింబిసార’ మూవీతో తన కెరీర్ బెస్ట్ హిట్ అందుకున్నాడు నందమూరి కళ్యాణ్ రామ్. ఇర మైత్రీ మూవీ మేకర్స్ సంస్థ ఈ యేడాది ఆరంభంలోనే ‘వీర సింహారెడ్డి, వాల్తేరువీరయ్య’ చిత్రాలతో డబుల్ సక్సెస్ అందుకుంది.
