Posting the case for a hearing on February 17, the court directed the petitioner to file a detailed explanation on the allegation of false settlement. Vacating the stay, the HC said the allegation regarding a false settlement claim is serious and the actions amount to forgery and submission of false documents, which are criminal offences. When the stay was issued, the actor was represented by the office of advocate Saiby Jose Kidangoor, who is facing allegations of collecting money from clients in the name of bribing high court judges.
