— City came through their win at Arsenal unscathed and England star John Stones (hamstring) is their only absentee for this clash. Their absences account for two of five changes overall, with Joe Worrall, Felipe, Jack Colback, Jonjo Shelvey, and Danilo the men to come in. 2 hours from kickoff: Hello and welcome to the Sporting News' live coverage of Nottingham Forest vs. 1 hr 40 mins from kickoff: Well, well, well. I feel, I see many things, I speak to staff, see training, see personal issues of players with problems at home, maybe they are satisfied about a win or sad because they don’t play. “I cannot go to sleep or wake up in the morning, have something inside of me visualising what the opponent can do and think: ‘The normal thing is play the starting XI that 89% of the people around the world say is the best.’,” he said. Prior to this match, the Manchester City manager gave some fascinating insights with regards to his thought processes after the decision to field Bernardo Silva as a hybrid right-back against Arsenal raised eyebrows. 58 mins from kickoff: And here's the Forest team. The likes of Brennan Johnson and Morgan Gibbs-White will certainly have their eye on that area of the field. The crowd at the City Ground are close to the pitch and Pep Guardiola's squad are warming up at the end of the ground where the away fans are stationed. Even Erling Haaland put a couple wide until Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan stopped the fun by firing past backup goalkeeper Scott Carson.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ivan Toney physically dominated them for Everton and Brentford, and the same was true of Erling Haaland on Wednesday night. Arsenal's total of 16 line-up changes is the lowest in the division. At the other, a collective wavering of concentration levels which is resulting in uncharacteristic defensive errors such as the ones that proved so costly against City. He is also capable of playing anywhere across the front line. His missed chances against City betrayed a dip in confidence and, more significantly, Arsenal's collective threat has gone the same way. Arsenal have dropped more points in three Premier League games than they did in the previous 19. Arteta spoke of the "marathon" that still lies ahead in his press conference on Wednesday night. Privately, though, he will accept the potentially huge significance of how Arsenal respond at Villa Park. Together, though, the results comprise a significant blip. In addition to their decreased productivity in attack, there has been a dramatic increase in the number and quality of chances they are giving up to their opponents at the other end of the pitch. "The most important thing is how we are tomorrow," said Mikel Arteta. Anything less would extend Arsenal's winless run to four Premier League games, causing alarm bells to ring louder.

It was a big result for Sabri Lamouchi’s side, who move five points clear of the relegation zone, albeit having played two games more than each of the only four teams below them in the table. The offer comes with a promise to load no debt on the club and to redevelop the club’s infrastructure. In the second minute of added time, the Italian international fired a long-range effort off the cross-bar, only to see it bounce down and ricochet over the line off the beaten Emi Martinez’s head. Manchester City 3 Arsenal 1- A huge moment in the title race. (Man City Square)

Manchester City were tearing cockneys apart again at the Emirates, home of Arsenal, where the blues secured all three points in a 1-3 win.

It’s a welcome sight as I feel Dias’ leadership is vital to Manchester City and what comes for the rest of the season. For me it’s no coincidence Manchester City have started to resemble themselves again with Dias leadership back in the starting 11. Jack has been outstanding of late, and it was great to see him rewarded with such a crucial goal. He didn’t give them a moment’s rest, and was unfortunate not to earn a penalty by being caught marginally offside in the build up in the 58th minute. City came to the Emirates knowing a win would be massive and could potentially shape the rest of the season. Bernardo did play on the edge, as he does when he’s at his best and was probably fortunate not to get booked earlier then he did.

Premier League: With history and form in favour of Man City, odds ... (News9 Live)

Arsenal will play their reverse fixture against Manchester City on April 27, towards the end of the season.

City ended up winning the season with 86 points, and the Reds finished second on 84. Conclusively, the two-horse race for the Premier League has always turned out in City’s favour. In a matter of four match weeks, they ended up losing the three-point gap. The stalemate ended their title hopes. They succumbed to the pressure and ended up losing the fixture 2-1. City finished with 98, whereas Liverpool with 97, failed to end the 30-year Premier League trophy drought. City got away with a point, and the title, eventually. Again, four seasons back, Liverpool and City were contesting fairly for the title. That game between the modern rivals, ended in a 2-2 draw. Eventually, City were able to retain the title for the second successive year, when midfielder Ilkay Gundogan scored against Aston Villa, to give his side a 3-2 lead in the dying minutes. The second half of the season fixtures are into consideration, to evaluate whether that particular game, made all the difference until the end or not. Arsenal had 64 per cent possession against Manchester City, but still, they ended up losing the game 1-3.

Nottingham Forest delivered another twist in the English Premier League title race as Chris Wood's late goal earned a 1-1 draw against Manchester City.

The striker had another go from the second rebound but was even worse with that attempt, firing over from inside the six-yard box. City had beaten Arsenal 3-1 on Wednesday but handed the advantage right back. Navas spilled Foden’s shot from the edge of the area and the Norwegian looked prime to score the rebound, but he hit the crossbar.

After Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest, Manchester City’s chances of winning the Premier League suffered a hit. Arsenal´s 4-2 win at Aston Villa earlier on Saturday had moved them back to the top of the table at City´s expense.

"I don´t know, it looks like the last man (Haaland) went to the keeper and fell down. At this level you have to score and that is why we dropped points," he said. "The first half should already be 2-0 or 3-0, we conceded one shot on target and we dropped points.

Man City have glaring Bernardo Silva problem as Zinchenko ... (Football.London)

Arsenal news: Manchester City sold left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko to the Gunners and now face a significant problem in that position.

Bernardo joining attacks as an extra player and playing the inverted role helps City in possession but Arsenal and Forest have both managed to exploit his defensive naivety. "He's playing in midfield but in Man City's defensive shape he goes into the left-back position. Against Aston Villa and Arsenal, Guardiola has deployed Bernardo Silva in the position to varying effect. Laporte and Ake provide solidity defensively in the position, while Lewis can also play the inverted role. Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake were mainstays in the backline earlier this season with John Stones and Ruben Dias each dealing with their own injury issues. Meanwhile, just a few hours later, City looked to be comfortably heading back to the top after Bernardo Silva's goal,

'We've thrown it away' - Kyle Walker criticises Man City for 'wasting ... (Manchester Evening News)

Manchester City couldn't back up their win at Arsenal with another three points at Nottingham Forest as they were held to a draw.

We have to keep working - game by game and step by step and we will see at the end of the season. “We tried to score two, three, four, five and we tried to manage the game at 1-0 up but we missed so many [chances] and we cannot do that. "We know what we can do as a team - our qualities and our strengths. He said: "We just need to make sure that these performances don’t happen again, we finish our chances and defend well as a team, and we stick together. "You do all that hard work and for a Manchester City side to have 36 per cent possession - to graft that out and put in a very solid performance at the Emirates against a tough team - to then come here and draw, we’ve thrown it away. We need to defend better as a team.

A lesser discussed aspect of the statement is the combination of the ‘oil money’ slur alongside the words “class and tradition.” Adding in a second Tweet: “For the avoidance of doubt, you can’t be against ‘oil money’ - whatever that’s meant to mean - in some contexts and not the other.

Pep Guardiola baffled as profligate Man City waste Emirates effort (Irish Examiner)

Manchester City wasted a glut of chances to build on the midweek win over Arsenal, with Erling Haaland the biggest culprit as he spurned two sitters.

“In general we’ve been quite similar all season, the way we played, the chances we create. “Generally we are doing that, most of the time. But I liked the way we played, the way we behaved. The managers have to answer all the questions but we don’t know the truth! Silva’s vicious strike just before half-time having given City the lead and that ought to have been the platform for a routine victory. “We need to move on.
