सोनिया गांधी की टिप्पणी के बारे में पूछे जाने पर कांग्रेस महासचिव कुमारी सैलजा ने कहा कि सोनिया जी की टिप्पणी का मतलब अध्यक्ष पद की पारी पूरी होने को लेकर था, राजनीति से पारी के पूरी होने के बारे में नहीं था. सभी संस्थाओं पर भाजपा सरकार के कब्जा कर लेने संबंधी बयान को लेकर कांग्रेस की पूर्व अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी की आलोचना करते हुए केंद्र में सत्तारूढ़ दल ने कहा कि यह इन संस्थाओं की स्वायत्ता और संस्थागत सम्मान पर हमला है. 85वें राष्ट्रीय महाधिवेशन के तीसरे दिन मंच से लांबा ने बताया कि मीडिया में सोनिया गांधी को लेकर कुछ खबरें चल रहीं है.
