The Vivo V27 Pro has an impressive set of specs on paper, headlined by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor and a 50MP front camera.
While I absolutely loved the design of the front of the phone, the rear didn’t carry that kind of appeal. Digging through the Settings I did find a way to set them back to 120Hz but this isn’t very ideal. It had gotten to a point where I would snap a single photo and quickly pocket the device and move on without even checking out the shot – I was that confident in the camera’s abilities. My single greatest annoyance with this device is the lack of stereo speakers. It’s buzzy, felt unrefined, and I was forced to keep it off for the keyboard. The Vivo V27 Pro is a part of that lineup as is obvious from its name, and therefore it’s no surprise that it features a 50MP front camera. Day-to-day usage is a joy as well as the phone doesn’t lag or stutter at all. The 50MP selfie shots are highly detailed regardless of the lighting condition and Portrait blurring is faultless no matter the background. The default config should be fine as is but saturation can be turned up with the “Bright” screen colours option. Aside from the wow factor, they’re actually useful – the Vivo V27 Pro is very manageable despite its size owing to the reduced width. The Vivo V27 Pro has a 6.78-inch display, which is slightly larger than the ‘industry standard’ 6.7-inch screen size. The company has a neatly arranged smartphone lineup, with alphabets that actually give you a clue into the phones’ specifications.
Vivo has introduced V27 Pro as its latest mid-range offering in India. The device features, MediaTek Dimensity 8200 and 66W fast charging.
The Vivo V27 Pro remains a compelling option as it is available at a reasonable discount. AdvertisementThe 50MP front-facing camera on the Vivo V27 Pro leaves some room for improvement, as it tends to overexpose images and produce colors that look a bit unnatural. Having used the Vivo V27 Pro, it's evident that the phone can be a suitable choice for those seeking a device priced below ₹40,000, particularly camera enthusiasts, gamers, or users who like a slim and light phone. The RAM management on the device is decent, and the 12GB RAM can hold lightweight apps like web browsers and social media apps such as Instagram or Facebook for a long time. The 2MP macro camera on the Vivo V27 Pro captures decent photos, it requires adequate lighting for optimal results. The natural light portraits captured by the Vivo V27 Pro are truly stunning. The chipset is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device was very responsive and connected to the servers instantly. I've extensively tested the V27 Pro while gaming and the display have been dependable so far. Weighing in at just 182g, the Vivo V27 Pro is a relatively lightweight phone, which may be attractive to those seeking an alternative to the many larger smartphones in its price range. Although it is not my usual recommendation, using the V27 Pro without a cover can be enjoyable. This gives the device a sleek look and premium feel, although it may not be as durable as an aluminium frame phone against drops and impacts.
