Man Utd sale deadline pushed back to summer (Telegraph.co.uk)

With hopes of a swift sale receding, the process to sell the club is set to go on until the end of the season.

Man Utd takeover: Elliott Management through to second stage of ... (Sky Sports)

Elliott Management has made it through to the next stage of bidding for Manchester United together with Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim ...

"Everyone is now trying to work out what the Glazers are going to do. "There were even banners at the game last night against Real Betis. "But Manchester United belongs to the Glazers so they can decide what happens next and it is by no means certain that they will decide to sell - even though there are offers on the table that value the club at £4.5bn. "I know that would be bad news for a lot of Manchester United fans because they want the Glazers to go, they're hoping that either the Qataris or Sir Jim Ratcliffe buy the club. "Or will they stay and use the funding that is being proposed to them to borrow money, maybe sell a minority stake in Manchester United and use that money to redevelop the club. "That is the difference and it is significant that they have made it through to the second stage of the process because it basically lets us know that the Glazer family are still looking at all options.

US firm reaches next stage in Man Utd bidding process (Vanguard)

US hedge fund Elliott Investment Management has made it through to the second stage of the bidding process in the potential sale of Manchester United.

Ratcliffe, a self-proclaimed United fan, is one of Britain’s wealthiest people due to the success of his global chemicals company. Ratcliffe’s INEOS company is seeking to gain majority control of United by buying out the stake held by the Glazer family. Sky Sports and the Telegraph said those two bidders would now have the opportunity to conduct due diligence on the club by accessing detailed financial information.
