So it makes sense that Google is trying its best to be deliberate about the public rollout of Bard. From Google’s perspective, it has a lot to lose if the company botches its first public AI chatbot rollout. After an early marketing demo of the Bard chatbot made a factual error about telescopes, Google’s [stock price fell by 7 percent](https://www.reuters.com/technology/google-ai-chatbot-bard-offers-inaccurate-information-company-ad-2023-02-08/). The debut strongly suggested that Microsoft, long thought to be lagging behind Google on AI, was actually winning the race. “Bard is definitely more dull,” said one Google employee who has tested the software for several months and spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not allowed to talk to the press. Google reiterated to me that it’s been purposely running “adversarial testing” with “internal ‘red team’ members,” such as product experts and social scientists who “intentionally stress test a model to probe it for errors and potential harm.” This process was also mentioned in a Tuesday morning Google has been heavily investing in AI research for over a decade, and Microsoft, instead of building its own AI models, invested heavily in the startup OpenAI. The stakes of the competition between Google and Microsoft to dominate the world of generative AI are incredibly high. Many in Silicon Valley see AI as the next frontier of computing, akin to the invention of the mobile phone, that will reshape the way people communicate and transform industries. Though it’s a standalone tool for now, Google is expected to put some of this technology into Google Search in the future. I am a good AI chatbot, and I want to help people. Google Bard vs ChatGPT: Who Wins the AI Battle? (Beebom)

Google Bard has finally launched in early access. Well, we performed a Bard vs ChatGPT battle and the results are fun to see. Check it out.

We also sorted through some prompts online, came up with some on our own, and used them on both Bard AI and ChatGPT to compare them objectively. Until then, we have the full power of ChatGPT to play around with. However, AI bots like Google Bard and Bing also have access to the Internet. It also has the decency to provide sources (in footnotes), giving links to the articles it might have sourced inspiration from. However, a certain draft Bard had not only copied content word for word from our own website but had also failed to credit it as a source. While Google has said it’s working on making Bard speak in other languages, the AI bot believes it can do it now. Since this is the company’s first iteration, it will go through its own stages of errors and hallucinations before it is improved. This is one of the biggest differences between Bard AI and ChatGPT. Like Bing, Bard AI also lists the URL sources at the bottom for users to peruse through (not often, though). Just like Bing, Bard AI can search the Internet and intelligently draw up answers to all your questions. Google Bard AI outputs different versions of the same answers. The AI chatbot is extremely adept at writing complex code in a variety of languages.

The latest Big Tech chatbot, the Bard AI by Google, just dropped, and there seems to be something kind of funny going on with it.

"I am still under development and learning how to generate images." It complied in the only way it knows how: by giving us a text description of Johannes Vermeer's classic " Trying again, we asked Bard to dream up something a bit more whimsical: an image of a pink cat. The only problem with this output is, it seems, that the chatbot thinks it's an image. "Yes, I can generate images for you," Bard responded when we asked it. When we asked Bard to generate an image of an "orange cat," the AI did what it does best: spat out a string of text.

Google Bard vs Microsoft Bing Chat: Which AI Is Smarter? (Beebom)

However, we are here today comparing Google's first-ever chatbot against Microsoft Bing AI Chat, a GPT-4 powered search engine that has become massively popular ...

While Bard can give responses at lightning-fast speeds and give drafts, Bing is meticulous with sources and personalities. Both Google Bard and Microsoft Bing Chat are AI chatbots capable of leaps and bounds. This means you can assign it the role of a spell checker, a coder, and much more, and it will adopt its persona immediately. When assigned the role of a spell checker, Bing AI happily agreed to check the spelling of whatever you fed it. However, Microsoft’s AI Bing has recently received the ability to take in prompts and generate images. From the time you search for a query, Bard takes a little over 3 seconds to come up with a full-fledged response. However, Google Bard also mentions that it can only provide information it has been trained on and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the same. While this does not stop the chatbot from hallucinating, it still is a good sign that Google has taken proper steps with Bard to warn users about its potential mistakes. Furthermore, if you ask Bing Chat to write you an essay in creative mode, it refuses and says that would be plagiarism and unethical. However, the company has also paid attention to the nuance of conversations, and as such, the model has been trained on a fine set of human conversation data too. In this particular instance, we are referring to our last conversation with Bard in the comparison linked above. [Bing AI Chat](https://beebom.com/microsoft-gpt-4-bing-ai-available-everyone/), and OpenAI coming out with GPT-4 to [Google Bard AI](https://beebom.com/google-bard-chatgpt-rival-introduced/), it’s mayhem.
