A loss to his father, arguably the greatest luchador in history, won't undo his progress. Looking back on the feud, Dominik has gotten the better of his father so many times and it just doesn't feel right to have Rey lose after all of that. Hopefully this match is the start of WWE moving to the post-championship stage of The Bloodline story. Pick: Rhea Ripley wins the title -- Brookhouse (also Mahjouri) Paul has proven that he can be half of a very good match given the right amount of preparation. This no longer feels like a passing of the torch moment, so a cheap finish in Theory's favor feels like the safest way out. Instead, with WWE’s product hitting on all cylinders, fans remained just as enthusiastic for Zayn and Kevin Owens’ reunion as they did Rhodes’ mission to “finish the story.” One where the rise of an organic everyman, the likes of Daniel Bryan in 2014, was ultimately stifled by WWE’s powers that be. This was a hard-fought war centered around nearfalls and the essential Bloodline storytelling that has endeared WWE to its fanbase in a major way.

The WrestleMania Showcase match was next and all four teams delivered a classic tag team match. Damage CTRL vs Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus followed the Rollins vs Paul clash. Rhea Ripley was able to defeat Charlotte Flair to become the new SmackDown Women's Championship.

The massive reaction for Ripley’s big win was a testament to the quality of the match. The Bloodline storyline was a winner before this match started as they rightfully main evented Night 1 of WrestleMania. Rey and Dominik Mysterio lived past their lofty expectations in a match that paid off every piece of storytelling leading up to the emotional father-son feud. This WrestleMania card was too good for its big matches not to be among the best of the night, but the tag team Fatal 4-Way set a tone that every match had to work hard to follow. Seth Rollins picked up the win, but in five WWE matches, Logan Paul continues to become a human highlight real. On a stacked WrestleMania card, the tag team Fatal 4-Way was a throwaway match that nobody had any expectations for.
