International Women's Day 2024 brought heartwarming stories of women empowerment from various corners of India. In Kashi, seven thousand women came forward as blood donors, with 55 making generous donations. The city of Shiva witnessed female engagement in every aspect of life, marking a significant cultural shift.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of women in agriculture, the day highlighted the ongoing struggles faced by female farmers. Despite efforts, there is still a need for better support and recognition in the farming community.

On the professional front, the number of women in jobs and businesses saw a remarkable increase from 14% to 32%, as per the Periodic Labour Force Survey. This shift signifies a positive trend towards gender equality and financial independence for women.

In Uttarakhand, the largest medical institute, AIIMS Rishikesh, entrusted women with leadership roles, showcasing gender equality in the healthcare sector. Women's capabilities in managing critical institutions are gaining recognition and appreciation.
