PVR Resumes Screening Malayalam Films After Crisis with FEFKA

FEFKA - INOX - Malayalam films - PVR - Yusuff Ali

PVR and FEFKA resolve content sharing issues, allowing the screening of Malayalam movies at PVR INOX theatres. Find out more about the resolution and ongoing disputes!

The crisis between PVR INOX and the Malayalam film industry has finally come to an end as they have resolved content sharing issues with the Kerala Film Producers' Association. The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) recently declared that Malayalam movies will now be screened at PVR INOX theatres. This resolution follows the intervention of industrialist Yusuff Ali, who played a significant role in solving the dispute.

Despite the previous stand-off, PVR INOX is now eager to start screening Malayalam films again. FEFKA's decision to allow the screening of Malayalam movies at PVR-owned theatres signifies a positive turn in the relationship between the multiplex company and the film industry.

The ongoing dispute centered around the virtual print fee (VPF) charged by PVR, leading to FEFKA's decision not to provide any Malayalam films to PVR-owned theatres. However, with the recent resolution, movie buffs can expect to see their favorite Malayalam films back on the big screen at PVR INOX.

The Film Employees Federation of Kerala is considering legal action against PVR INOX, highlighting the seriousness of the issues faced by the Malayalam film industry. Talks with Kerala's chief minister have also taken place, emphasizing the importance of resolving conflicts within the entertainment sector.
