The Medak police detained BJP Medak district president Gaddam Srinivas, BJP Medak town president M. Nayam Prasad, and others following violence stemming from a reported attack on a madrasa. Tensions heightened after a mob allegedly vandalized the madrasa as well as a hospital where the injured were receiving treatment. The conflict stemmed from disagreements over animal sacrifice and illegal cow transport, culminating in the imposition of Section 144 in the area.

The clash between two communities in Medak worsened as reports surfaced of clashes over alleged illegal cow transport. The situation escalated when a mob attacked the Miraj ul Uloom Madrasa, which had purchased cattle for sacrifice during Bakrid. The involvement of RSS and Hindu Vahini members further intensified the tensions.
