Why Sonam Wangchuk's march for Ladakh autonomy turned into a police drama!

In a dramatic turn of events, renowned Ladakhi activist Sonam Wangchuk, along with 150 others, found himself detained by Delhi Police while attempting a peaceful march advocating for environmental protection and greater administrative autonomy for Ladakh. The protest, which aimed to highlight ecological threats and the ongoing concerns of Chinese incursions in the region, has sparked fierce criticism from opposition leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge and Arvind Kejriwal. "It’s unacceptable that elderly individuals standing up for the future of their homeland are unjustly detained," commented Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, echoing the sentiments of many opposition allies.
