Get ready, Bihar! PM Modi is all set to lay the foundation stone for Darbhanga AIIMS on November 13 – a game-changer for healthcare in the region!

The people of Darbhanga are in for a significant healthcare upgrade! Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit the city on November 13 for the grand inauguration of the AIIMS Darbhanga. Situated strategically along the one-kilometer stretch between the Muzaffarpur-Madhubani Four-Lane NH 57 and the Shoebann Bypass road, this new facility is projected to be a beacon of medical advancement for over 8 crore residents of the Mithila region.

The foundation stone for the AIIMS will mark a historic milestone, with a budget allocation of about 1,264 crores for its establishment. Spanning an impressive 188 acres, the facility is designed to accommodate approximately 750 beds, ensuring that quality medical care is accessible to the masses. Scheduled to be completed within 36 months, the Darbhanga AIIMS symbolizes not just infrastructural development but also a leap towards modern healthcare in Bihar.

Local leaders, including MP Gopal Jee Thakur, emphasize the importance of this project as a point of pride for Mithila. After years of demands and discussions regarding state-of-the-art healthcare delivery in the region, the upcoming AIIMS is set to facilitate a new era of medical services right at home.
